Accounts Assistant - Radyr

We are currently working with one of the UK’s leading healthcare companies who are looking for an experienced Assistant Accountant to join their small team on the outskirts of Cardiff. You will have an Accounts Assistant reporting in to you so Management experience would be desirable, but not essential.

Reporting into the Commercial Finance Manager the main purpose of the role is to undertake the day to day transactions within the finance department. The position would suit an AAT or similarly qualified individual with experience in Sage 50. The role will also be analytical in nature, with a focus on trend and forecasting using a wide variety of stakeholder data.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sales and purchase ledger input
• Completion of quarterly VAT returns
• Monthly bank reconciliations
• Aged debt analysis
• Processing credit card and staff expenses
• Revenue expectation analysis
• Assist with trend and contract performance analysis
• Assist with preparation of management and statutory accounts
• Control of bank, debtors & creditors
• Dealing with direct debits
• Checking expenses and fleet costs; allocating cost centers
• Collation, input and analysis of supplier and customer data

Skills & Qualifications:

• Accountancy qualification with excellent attention to detail
• Excellent excel skills
• Knowledge of Sage 50
• Knowledge of database systems

Hours of Work:              9:00am - 5:00pm Monday to Friday
