We are currently working with a large enterprise business who are one of the largest brands in the UK. They are seeking an experienced Compliance Assurance Advisor to join their successful team based at the company headquarters in Doncaster.
Responsibilities / Accountabilities:
  • Ensuring the effectiveness of the compliance monitoring framework and drive compliant behaviour nationally throughout the business
  • Researching and reviewing regulatory changes making proposals where necessary to ensure compliance
  • Supporting the business in meeting its regulatory responsibilities
  • Provide assurance to Management that the company is meeting regulatory requirements
  • Supporting the production of monthly MI for our Conduct Risk Committee and Governance Committee.
  • Deliver enhancements to current compliance procedures
  • Be able to react to incidents, identifying, investigating and bringing to a conclusion
  • Support in building regulatory awareness within the business
  • Engage with colleagues to deliver regulatory training
  • Manage Regulatory Policies and Procedures
  • Work with our lenders to ensure the business delivers good customer outcomes for our mutual customers.
Capabilities Required:
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to adapt to different audiences
  • Strong understanding of compliance and procedures for FCA regulated businesses and GDPR
  • Proactive in managing regulatory risks
  • Ability to identify mitigating actions and implement into business processes
  • Experience in managing internal relationship and key stakeholders
  • Ability to provide guidance, support and feedback
  • Able to translate regulatory guidance into day-to-day business processes
  • Engage in learning and training to progress personal development.
  • Good organisational skills
  • Time management and prioritisation to deliver to the business needs
  • Ability to work under pressure when the situation arises
Experience / Qualifications:
  • Previous experience within a regulatory business environment, ideally financial services
  • Minimum GCSE levels (or equivalent)
  • Used to working with different business levels
