They currently have a new position within their organisation for an experienced and passionate certified Data Analyst to join their team to help the business analysis all of their processes.
 
Job Purpose:
  • Provide robust statistical analysis of Company’s performance
  • Turn internal data from across the organisation into information and insights
  • Help them understand how the organisation is performing and inform business decisions
  • Linking with department leads and marketing to ensure quantitative data always relates back to and is connected to the wider stories captured about the work they do, their people and the impact they have as a company
Responsibilities:
  • Harvesting and interpreting key information and metrics from multiple departments, including Operations, People Team, Research and Evaluation, Business Development and Marketing
  • Managing and monitoring the quality of data collected across the organisation, helping to make our data useful
  • Working alongside our IT Department to oversee our various data systems to ensure they function properly
  • Presenting information in accessible and engaging formats to suit various audiences, e.g., the Executive Team and Trustees as well as external audiences to promote the organisation
  • Support and advise on the development of data collection systems across the organisation, ensuring our data is of good quality and aligns to organisational purpose
  • Acquiring data from primary or secondary data sources and maintaining databases
  • Building a core reporting schedule so performance reports are run on a consistent basis and fed up to the Executive Team and Board of Trustees
  • Sharing and presenting people analytics to support leaders in understanding and responding to employee data
  • Monitoring organisational performance and supporting colleagues to identify improvements
  • Responding to report requests, and be able to run reports and interrogate data on an ad-hoc basis, working to tight deadlines
  • Identifying, analysing, and interpreting trends or patterns in complex data sets across the organisation
  • Working with leaders to prioritise business and information needs
  • Horizon scanning to ensure we are using the best tools available
  • Working with the Director of Operations and playing a key role within our Data, Impact and Evaluation workstream to embed our strategy across the organisation
Required Experience:
  • Technical expertise and experience of handling and managing large and varying types of data
  • Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages, databases, and programming  
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analysing datasets
  • Evidence of ability to think clearly and calmly at a time when multiple demands are active      
Required Skills:
  • A high level of mathematical ability
  • Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings
  • Problem solving skills and a methodical and logical approach
  • Ability to research, investigate and learn new systems and tools which support the Analyst in achieving company's aims               
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
  • The ability to plan work and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work alone, and to prioritise own workload effectively, including appropriate delegation of tasks
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
