Position: Food Safety Consultant – Field Based
Salary: £29,000 - £35,000
Hours: Monday – Friday, flexible
 
Lucid Recruitment are currently recruiting on behalf of a company based in Bridgend who are seeking a Field based Food Safety Consultant.
  
Roles and responsibilities
  • Provide businesses with every aspect of food safety from practical advice all the way through to implementing the right food safety procedures and policies
  • Develop, implement, monitor and review health and safety strategies, policies, procedures, risk assessments and safe working practices
  • Carrying out workplace inspections and implementing any actions or improvements required
 
Requirements 
  • Experience of working with relevant legislation, in a related area and in a local authority
  • Diploma/Degree in Environmental Health as recognised by the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health Officers Education Board or Higher Certificate in Food Premises Inspection
  • Hold registration by the Environmental Health Registration Board
  • 2 years' experience in food control or health and safety work gained in the last 3 years
  • Knowledge of current issues in food control, health and safety and current issues in infectious diseases
  • Full drivers’ licence
