We are currently recruiting for a very well-established global player that produces a broad range of specialty chemicals and fibers that are found in products people use every day. As a world leader in the diverse markets it serves, they are focused on delivering innovative and technology-based solutions while maintaining its commitment to safety and sustainability. The successful candidate will report to the Newport site Maintenance Manager and support both the company and third-party operations. activities including repair and inspection of pumps, vessels, rotating equipment, pipe breaking and pipe fitting. You will utilize machine shop skills such as lathes, drills and milling equipment in your daily activities.
Key Experience would ideally include:
- Pump & rotating equipment principles
- Troubleshooting and fault diagnosis
- RCA & FMECA lead
- Creation of planned maintenance schedules and associated task lists
- Read, interpret and check technical drawings & engineering flow diagrams
- Non-destructive testing. e.g. UTT, DPI, MPI, Thermography
- Condition monitoring techniques & interpretation
- Plan, schedule and manage small scale maintenance projects
The Person:
You will have achieved a time served qualification (i.e., an apprenticeship) in a relevant discipline and you will be safety conscious. The ideal candidate will have a flexible approach with regard to changing priorities in a busy work environment and be capable of working alone, under your own initiative, or effectively as part of a team. A good knowledge of corrosion resistant equipment, pumps and relief valves would be an advantage so too would the ability to perform critical tasks within specified time constraints and schedules. You are fluent in English, have a good working knowledge of SAP and MS Word/Excel.
