Reporting to the Operations Manager the Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the general operations within the warehouse and its staff. They are responsible for the recording and maintaining of inventory, order management of stock and goods received through to shipping of orders in line with business requirements. They are also required to train new and existing staff and ensure their performance is adequate for any role within the operational structure.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership, coaching and supervising of staff and their job functions with an understanding of details, to ensure execution and processing of daily work and equipment movement and management.
  • Review incoming inventory schedule daily and coordinate with various functions including Test team and Shipping department to make sure that goods are available and delivered to the correct location.
  • Maintain an equipment structure and level to accomplish the operational requirements of Order Management and Receiving in a safe, effective manner.
  • Monitor the loading and unloading of goods delivered into each department ensuring equipment is staged for counting and inspection.
  • Ensure the Order Management and Receiving teams accurately support the business requirements effectively.
  • Supervise the daily operations and provide help and guidance when discrepancies arise.
  • Ensure a safe work environment in all areas of responsibility and mitigate any unsafe scenario with priority aligned with business procedures.
  • Ensure timely compliance with workplace policies and procedures, including HR policies and Health & Safety standards.
  • Measure and report the effectiveness of warehousing activities and employee’s performance.
  • Interface with stakeholders to answer questions or solve problems.
  • Identify areas of improvement and adjust existing work procedures and practices.

Requirements and skills:

  • Previous experience supervising direct reports.
  • Highly motivated, persistent, and able to cope with requirements of a fast-paced environment.
  • Motivate and support staff in achieving agreed goals.
  • Ability to multitask and keep multiple tasks moving forward.
  • Proven ability to work well with others.
  • Professional communication and strong organisational skills.
  • Knowledge of planning, inventory levels and equipment movement.
  • Ability to use material handling.
